Waking up early and going out for breakfast in the morning makes me feel humane. At least one of my new year's resolution is working out well so far. These days, I've been sleeping early and wake up early even on weekends, and I feel so happy about it. It is hard to start something, but once you started, and you managed to keep on doing it, it is such a happy thing to ponder. Now, I'm going for my next resolution, which I have been trying again and again but always failed to even maintain of doing it for more than a week.

So, back to the topic, I am still trying to find a "tune" this new year. New teaching hours, and new students line-ups. I am afraid that I will get bored too soon in this education field, especially when the environment doesn't really encourage you to use your skills to teach the students. I always receive commentaries from the senior teachers to just "stick to the syllabus" and be "exam oriented" which totally not my teaching style. However, since I have no choice to choose, I am forcing myself to follow that kind of teaching method and believe me, it is totally BORING!
Plus, the students who have a super short and immature mentality, where in my opinion, it has been the tradition of the students in that school to not respecting the teachers who didn't teach them, and so when I first entered the class to teach (I never meet the students previously) they just ignored me. That is why I prefer the Student-Based Assessment or PBS to be conducted in school because it does not only enhance students' independence and self-learning skill, it also improves students' manners. Maybe I am one of a thousands of teachers in this country who actually enjoys conducting PBS. Because for me, manners come first, then your brain.
Students nowadays believe in their "tutors" more than they believe their teachers. If that so, they should just stay at home and be homeschooled =.=
