HI
So you have stumbled upon my little haven full of thoughtless words and thoughtful randomness. I stopped blogging for one whole year in 2014 and now I am back on track, trying to get back my writing skills XD I blog about my school and share my love of music, designing and nailart (fangirl alert there~).

It would be amazing to read your comments on my post and I would certainly write back to you if you have your blog URL in the comment ^^ Thank you for visiting and enjoy reading!

10032013 - The Magic of Language
I realized that the weekend went too fast! Usually, I will wake up earlier during weekend so that I have more time to do things that I like. However, I have to do lost of hostel stuff today. My housemates and I went out to buy things for the students' study room and we went to this shop full with red things - red bed-covers, red towels, red lanterns and we asked the owner whether those things are for Chinese New Year. The owner explained that they are selling materials for Chinese Wedding Ceremony. There are wooden baskets filled with talcum, fragrant and flowers, for the groom to pass to the bride. There are also red bedlamps, and we even learn a new word:

The owner said that this means "double happiness" which you can see a lot on the wedding decorations. Even if you see the character up there, it looks like two person holding hands. We were so excited to learn about it today and we asked a lot too. Thanks to the shop-owner and his wife who never tired answering and explaining everything to us. We are so happy to learn it and when we went to BPMall later in the evening, we saw the same Chinese character and giggled excitedly because we know the meaning. Language is just fascinating.

I always love to learn new language, and my next project is to learn Japanese. Actually, I have two plans - to learn to play the violin, and to learn Japanese language. However, it seems like I have to choose only one this year because I won't have time for it. School has been giving me lots of work but I just can't complain. It's part of my job as a teacher so I have to make it my priority. However, I hope to achieve both goal before I turn 30. I also want to visit England for a while, to help improve my English. I have so many plans for myself but I'm not living on my own. Sometimes, we just have to sacrifice our own planning and dream just to make sure people around us is happy.

Good night!

I am taking Japanese right now and it's sooooooooooo hard. Language is not fascinating for me because I'm just so bad at it! That character just makes my head hurt! Why can't it be easier like Korean and use an alphabet? Korean is hard enough. I can't speak it at all and can only guess to understand. =(

I really admire and envy those who are able to learn another language. I find it so difficult, but I'm sure if I actually put in more effort I'd be able to learn another language.
